Welcome, I have never been much of a writer but thought it would be great to have a blog on my site to share my experiences and passion of photography with those who wish to take an interest.
I sat down last night thinking what would be a good first topic and whilst contemplating this I actually looked back to what my first inspiration was and what was deeply at the core of my love of this art.
What I found in the deep dark background was the very moment I fell in love with photography, I was 19 and was given a print of a photo taken by Norman Parkinson called “Age of Elegance”. This photo was taken in the 1950’s and is of Norman’s wife draped ever so beautifully across an old rolls, simple but so stunning.
Once I got this photo I started to look into the world of Norman Parkinson and his photography and still today find this man so inspiring. His portrait photos are amazing and I believe even after 60 odd years so timeless.
I hope that in the years that follow someone will look at a photo that I have taken and fall in love with photography, just like I did.
